Plant Physiology

The course deals with the applied aspects of plant development and the interaction with the environment. It covers how plants function, which includes the biochemical reactions like photosynthesis and respiration that take place within the plant. Students will understand how plants grow and develop by looking at water relations, xylem and phloem transport, mineral nutrition, and plant hormones. They will also understand morphogenesis and its relations to photoperiodism and tropism.
